Are you a true beginner who would like to learn to play pickleball? We invite you to register and attend one of our Pickleball 101 Clinics.

Tuscaloosa County Area Pickleball provides introductory training through PARA for beginning players. A clinic is typically two hours long and normally held at the McAbee Center on Loop Road in Tuscaloosa. Paddles and balls are provided. If you already have a paddle, bring it along. Be sure to dress appropriately to play pickleball.

After learning the basics of the game, you'll be ready to play! Classes are free and scheduled on an as-needed basis. Call the McAbee Activity Center at (205) 562-3235 for more information and to register for the next clinic.

Pickleball in Tuscaloosa and Northport

There is an active and growing community of pickleball players in Tuscaloosa County. There are pickleball courts located throughout Tuscaloosa County in the cities of Northport and Tuscaloosa. Pickleball can be played indoors or outdoors with a paddle, hollow polymer ball, and 36-inch-high net. Get a few friends together and learn to play pickleball to help our community grow!
